Views don't equal traffic to your website, fan page or offer. Your viewers need to take an action.

In the video above, which is one of our "outro" or "post-roll" videos, we include several calls to action designed to get the viewer to take action.

Required: A Strong Call To Action

Whether your viewers are on your site, Facebook YouTube, or another site, you need to tell them to take action.

The mistake that beginning video marketers make is to be too timid when asking their visitor to take action (e.g. "Umm... if you like the video, it would be great if you visit my site.")

A much better perspective is to think of your Call To Action as a command. Tell your viewer exactly what to do and do it with confidence. For example, "Click on the link below this video now." or "Go to SocialVideoMastery.com right now."

Advanced Tactics

If you really want to increase traffic, include several calls to action in your video and consider creating one or more slides or images that tell the viewer exactly what you want them to do.

Let It "Roll"

In the example video above, notice how I let the last slide stay active after I finish talking. Here's why this works - when a video reaches the end on YouTube, YouTube displays suggested videos that will distract your viewer.

By letting the end of your video "roll", you keep your call to action in front of your viewer long enough for your viewer to take action. Try it out.
