Component #1: Introduction & "Hook"

The first 15 seconds of your videos are very important - it's your chance to "hook" the viewer and persuade them to watch the rest of the video. You don't have to be clever - being clear is a better strategy.

Here are a few formulas you can use (just make sure you deliver on the promises during the message/body of the video):

"In the next {video length} minutes, learn how to {do/get desired result}, without having to {objection}."
"By the end of this video, you'll be able to {do/get desired result}, without having to {objection}."

Component #2: Valuable Message

Make the body of your video as entertaining and informative as possible.

Audio - Get a good microphone and vary your tone, volume and pitch (be emotional) and not flat or boring
Move - Include movement or animation. If you are on camera, move your hands and use facial expressions
Use Humor - Be yourself and relax
Use Music - There's a reason why movies and television shows have music in the background - music creates emotion! Music should be added during the video editing process, not playing while you record the audio.
Try Multiple Cameras - One way to maintain attention is to use multiple cameras and then switch back and forth between the camera angles (done during the editing process).

The goal of this component is to convince your viewer that you are an authority, that you can show them the way to what they want, and to get them to continue watching until they arrive on the call to action.

Component #3: Strong Call to Action

Have confidence and tell your viewer exactly what you want them to do. Confidence causes us to relax, which makes it easier to both trust you and to follow your lead.
