If you have a DSLR with great autofocus and face detection, you won't need the CamRanger, especially if you have a DSLR with a flip-out screen you can look at to make sure the camera is continuing to focus on you.

Test your audio before you start filming, preferably with a set of headphones so you can make sure you're microphone sensitivity, output gain and in-camera microphone gain are all configured to keep your audio within range. If any of your settings are too high, you'll end up with audio that is "clipped" on the high-end.

Since I filmed this video, I've been using Sony Professional "Reference" headphones that don't add any additional base or treble, which allows me to get a clear representation of how the audio is going to sound.
